Overview

Black Otaku - SOS is a twitch-action, run-n-gun shooter developed by Def Sauce. The game is a fictional single player shooter that takes place in the black communities of Toronto, Canada. Although taking place in real life locations, the gameplay is arcade-style in nature with infinite ammo and regenerating-health.

Black Otaku - SOS is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Steam PC.

On Windows 10 PC, Black Otaku - SOS released for Black History Month and released in the top 100 most-popular, single player shooters on the Windows 10 Store. A month later Black Otaku - SOS had hit the top 40 most-popular, single player shooters on the Windows 10 Store.

On Xbox One, Black Otaku - SOS released in the top 10 paid indie games in the Creator's Collection of the Xbox One store.

A short while later, in the fall of 2018, Isaiah "Triforce" Johnson presented Black Otaku - SOS on ePlus TV, channel 391 on Jamaican Cable TV. He described Black Otaku - SOS as "Pioneering the platform" for black video games, also praising the art style.

On March 3, 2019, Black Otaku 2 was revealed. Moving to 3D polygons, the sequel is said to be releasing on next gen consoles.
